NDA aspirants can read or download the NDA English Syllabus for better scores in the exam. Each part has its role in this exam. So English is also important as well as other subjects. The NDA Exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
The Purpose of asking English questions in this exam is to test the candidate’s understanding skill. All candidates need to study the syllabus and start the preparation.
NDA Exam Pattern
The exam is divided into different phases. See this complete pattern. The National Defence Academy Exam is divided into 2 papers.
THE PAPERS IN ALL THE SUBJECTS WILL CONSIST OF OBJECTIVE-TYPE QUESTIONS ONLY. THE QUESTION PAPERS (TEST BOOKLETS) OF MATHEMATICS AND PART “B” OF THE GENERAL ABILITY TEST WILL BE SET BILINGUALLY IN HINDI AS WELL AS ENGLISH.
In the question papers, wherever necessary, questions involving the metric system of Weights and Measures only will be set.
4. Candidates must write the papers in their own hands. In no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a scribe to write answers for them?
5. The Commission has the discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects at the examination.

Part ‘A’—ENGLISH (Maximum Marks—200)
The question paper in English will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding of English and workmanlike use of words. The syllabus covers various aspects like English Grammar and its usage, vocabulary, comprehension, and cohesion in extended text to test the candidate’s proficiency in English
